Jennifer Grace and her team - who redefined the luxury vintage fashion market with the launch of El Cycér in 2019 - created EMURJ to empower consumers to express their personal style. By infusing taste into the shopping experience, celebrating the unique creativity of each designer, and providing exceptional customer service, the team is committed to deliver a modern shopping experience.

Currency

While you can shop in your local currency by selecting your country at the bottom of every page, order transactions are processed in US dollars at checkout. Contact your payment provider to find out their currency exchange rate and fees.

We strive to ship orders within the same or next business day, depending on shipping carrier cutoff times. Orders placed by 12 p.m. PST on business days will ship the same day, excluding weekends and holidays.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with shipment tracking information. Please allow one business day for the tracking information to update after it ships.

For most countries, duties and taxes are collected at checkout. Once you receive your order, you will not be required to pay any additional fees.

If duties and taxes are not collected at checkout, you will be responsible for paying any fees billed by the local country customs authority once it arrives at the destination country. The duties and taxes calculated at checkout provide you with an estimate for those fees; however, they are out of our control and subject to change.

Our policy

We accept returns for items in their original condition for a full refund if the return is requested within 15 days of delivery. Any initial shipping fees are nonrefundable.

There are a few important things to keep in mind when returning an item:

• You have 15 days to request a return from the date it was delivered.
• You have 7 days to mail the return to us after the return is approved.
• Original condition: Items must be unworn, unwashed, and unaltered. The original tags must be attached to the item, and the original packaging must be included.
• Apparel: Please be careful of deodorant, perfume, or makeup rubbing off on the garment. Avoid wearing jewelry that may cause tears. The original tags must be attached to the garment.
• Shoes: Please try shoes on carpet, as any hard surface can easily scuff shoes. Shoe boxes and dust bags must be returned undamaged.
• Swimwear and lingerie: Do not remove the hygienic protection strip.

Additionally, some items are ineligible for return: 

• Items marked final sale at the time of purchase
• Items marked as vintage

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact Customer Care within 15 days of delivery.

Please do not abuse our return policy. We reserve the right to refuse return or cancel and block future orders from customers with an excessive rate of returns.

How to return an item

To return an item to EMURJ, sign in to your Orders page with the email address used with the item’s order and a six-digit verification code that is sent to the email address.

After you sign in, use the Request return link below your order. Follow the instructions to select the item(s) for return and submit your return request.

Please allow up to one business day for your return request to be reviewed. Once approved, you will receive an email with a prepaid return shipping label and return instructions. Print the shipping label and follow the instructions.

Orders in the United States

Returns from the United States receive free return shipping.

Orders outside the United States

Returns from outside the United States incur a $40 USD return shipping fee, which is deducted from the refund amount.

Refunds

Once we receive and check your return, we will initiate a refund to the original method of payment and notify you with an email. It may take up to 10 business days for the credit to process, and additional processing time may be required, depending on the payment method. Shipping fees will not be refunded.

Guaranteed authenticity

Our authentication process is informed by over 20 years of experience and formal education in the fashion industry. It is grounded in a deep knowledge of each house’s heritage, and a systematic approach to inspection.

We inspect each item to ensure its details match identical or similar items from the same collection. This includes examining stitching, fabrics, patterns, hardware, authenticity stamps, serial numbers, and labels.

• Hands-on comparison with our in-house Archival Collection, which includes iconic items reserved for editorial, red carpet, and exhibits (e.g., Metropolitan Museum of Art: Heavenly Bodies)
• External experts with extensive knowledge of specific designers or collections

Item conditions

All our items are pre-owned and undergo a comprehensive inspection. We maintain high-quality standards, and our items are in very good to pristine condition unless stated otherwise.

Each vintage item includes one of the following condition ratings:

• Pristine: No apparent wear.
• Excellent: Minor or imperceptible wear consistent with age and use.
• Very Good: Apparent wear consistent with age and use. The wear will be noted in the condition section and displayed in photographs.
